Concept design is a activity with orderly, organized and purposeful design from analyzing the needs of user to generating concept products. It is an evolutionary process from rough to precise, from vague to clear, and from abstract to concrete. How to develop a concept design?  *Confirm your requirements By knowing their goals, we can get the foundation and backbone for the design process and decision making.  *Concept developed with engineer solutions The kick-off meeting will be held by our Project team basing your requirements. The design  schedule, risks and engineer solutions will be listed after meeting.  *CAD modeling and design optimization Detailed design is generated by using 3D and solid modeling CAD programs.Create CAD models for parts to check out the potential problems before making any physical parts. Confirm your functions you required,application environments etc. Our engineer team will issue solutions for solving design and production problems. Engineering  What is engineering? Engineering is a process of gradual optimization for product design. At JY, we consider each and every detail when designing your product with an emphasis on functionality (does the product work properly?), feasibility (can the product be manufactured effectively?), and cost (how expensive is the solution?). What’s the function of engineering? *Design optimization *Materials suggestions  *Structure analyzing *Tolerance standard *Assembly solution  *Manufacturability evaluation The procedure of engineer solutions analyzed in the kick-off meeting: Firstly, JY’s BDM(Business Development Manager)/ AE(Account Executive), who serve the clients directly, will share the background and requirement of the client. Secondly, the PJM(project manager) will show the draft files(including the design schedule, the preliminary schedule of project, the solution requirement of project, the risk of project, the support needed…), who prepared in advance before the kick-off meeting. Then PJM will discuss with different roles in project team and adjust the schedule if need. And the 1st version files need to be agreed and confirmed in kick off meeting. Thirdly the Project Manager need to update the confirmed files in JY’s system and report to BDM or AE. Then the project manager will hold the meeting weekly per the schedule from files to review the status of project until delivering the goods to clients.

Choosing most proper process method,CNC machining&3D Rapid prototyping,Full inspection for samples and fast delivery. Prototype After manufacturing design completed, the prototype will be arranged per the CAD modeling and engineer solution. Presentation prototype is a visual representation of how the end invention design will look and It could apply to a lot of situations,such as design optimization,internal reviews,trade shows,new product demonstrations and so on.   How to make a prototype?   If you are going to have a visual appearance prototype to support product development, 3D printing and CNC (computer numerical control) machining are the best solutions for prototype manufacturing. How to choose between these two processes in specific applications.   *3D Printing 3D printing is one of rapid prototyping technology with cost-effective which has great shorter lead-time. Complex structure can be manufactured without the use of molds, also it doesn’t affect the time or cost. It allows to quickly deliver small batches of parts, and flexibly & agilely adapt to design changes. Supporting the processing flow of parallel parts to save time. it can produce multiple parts in a single project, multiple versions of a single part, or multiple parts in different projects. It’s not necessary to use a variety of settings to manufacture parts, After the start of the operation, the 3d printing equipment will run until the parts are manufactured.   *CNC Prototyping 3D printing has a limitation in materials application,but CNC machining can solve the problem and the prototype material can match the effect of final product as much as posslble.  After CNC processing, the mechanical properties of the prototype are almost same as the original material. The tolerance of CNC process is high precision,also the surface finish would be better.  so if tolerance and smoothness are mainly considered, CNC machining is the best choice. However, considering the comprehensive factors such as cost, manpower and delivery time, 3D printing technology has obvious advantages.
Verification

Assembling test will be made by our side. Getting your test feedback and adjust the design solution. Verification Prototype design and pilot production are key steps in engineering and design verification. They help you extend the conceptual validation model to high-quality engineering prototypes and pre-production samples that simulate the final product, and guide mass production through a series of validation stages. JY Machinery provides comprehensive manufacturing services to help designers and engineers create test components faster than ever before and quickly repeat their designs based on actual testing and feedback to meet the required performance, verification, testing, certification and quality requirements. Prototype Validation Testing The working prototype will be tested in function and other test items per the requirement, then the project team will review the test result in the weekly meeting, if some test failure items, the related engineer need to release the verification plan accordingly. Then the project manager will update the 1st version files to 2nd version or 3rd version if necessary. If it will affect the whole schedule of project or be involved in adjustment solution, the project manager need to report BDM/AE for clients’ reviewing. The final solution need to be confirmed and uploaded in our system for record after the verification.  Pilot Production Validation Testing --What’s the Pilot Production?  It means that before Mass Production, the production fixture or the machine equipment of production has been the optimal stage of design. The project team need to arrange 20-100pcs product to produce as the trial to detect products and processes. The Pilot Production can reveal potential production and improve them before Mass Production.  --What’s Main test items in Pilot Production To test FPY (First Pass Yield) of the products from the Pilot Production, if the FPY are short of the required standard, then this Pilot Production will be treated as unqualified, the project has to issue the correction plan for the causes and arrange next Pilot Production until closing all the issues.  To test the production fixture or the machine equipment of production and keep them could produce the product efficiently and accurately. To keep quality consistence in Mass production To test SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) of all process in production. If issues found in SOP in PP, it need to solve before Mass Production.  To test the package of products, especially for retailer package, it needs to keep all component of package (such as label, user manual, the warranty card…) be put in box without omission in SOP of package in production line. And the drop test will proceed at same time for delivering the product without damage.

Cost-efficient production solution. Tracking the production progress and sending your more details with photos and videos. Correct Package will ensure parts without damage in transit.  Manufacturing What does it need to complete before Manufacturing? The result of PP (pilot production) has to be passed and qualified.  The schedule of Mass production has been issued by PMC(Production Material Control).  All materials have been arranged by our purchasing agents per the schedule from PMC.  All SOP and QC standards (IQC/PQC/OQC) has been confirmed and uploaded in the system of our factory.  And keep all QC people mastered the way of testing after training.  How to keep the products completed on time in Manufacturing with good quality? *Our PMC has worked out the schedule on materials and production capacity of factory ahead of two months at least before Manufacturing, and will also reserve 3-5 days as the buffet time for emergency.  *All the process of production and test records have to update in the system of factory from time to time, if any issues, it will be detected by our system automatically and will notice related department to solve in time.  What’s next step after Manufacturing in JY Machinery?  The completed products will be forwarded to OQC department for final inspection. And the approved QC report need to upload in the system. Then the completed products could be put in warehouse for delivery. The warehouse keepers won’t accept the completed goods without the approved QC report in the system.  We will confirm and double check the shipping info (such forwarder info, shipping address, notify party, marks, shipping document, volume, weight…) with our clients a week ahead basing on completed time of products.  The clerk from JY Machinery’s shipping department will contact the appointed forwarder about the shipping info. And the shipping documents for collect the products in the side of clients will be prepared accordingly.  After loading the products, the clerk from shipping department will upload the photos of loading, container No. ETD, ETA …to the system. Then BDM/AE will check these info in our system and share with our clients.  What’s the advantage of manufacturing in JY Machinery?  Stable raw material supply and cost are available basing on JY Machinery’s supply chain management system.  Every procedure in manufacturing has to follow the qualified SOP and be tracked in the system for good quality consistence.  All the status of production could be checked out in the system to avoid the delay risk on lead time.
