The epoxy resin rod is made of glass fiber filaments impregnated with epoxy resin matrix by high temperature pultrusion. The product has: light weight, stable mechanical properties, excellent insulation properties, and can cover a voltage range of 10kV-1000kV. The product's tensile performance is particularly outstanding, and its tensile strength reaches 1360Mpa or above, which greatly exceeds the tensile strength of No. 45 precision cast steel, which is 570Mpa. It provides a reliable basis for the comprehensive dielectric properties of composite insulators.
Epoxy resin rods come in various forms.
Various resins, curing agents, and modifier systems can almost meet the
requirements of various forms of use, and their ranges can range from extremely
low viscosity to high melting point solids. The product has low shrinkage. The
epoxy resin and the curing agent used are reacted by direct addition reaction
or the ring-opening polymerization reaction of the epoxy group in the resin
molecule. No water or other volatile by-products are released. Compared with
unsaturated polyester resins and phenolic resins, they show very low shrinkage
(less than 2%) during the curing process.
The cured epoxy resin system is an
excellent insulating material with high dielectric performance, external
leakage resistance, and arc resistance, and it has excellent mechanical
properties. The inherent polar hydroxyl groups and ether bonds in the epoxy
resin chain make it highly adhesive to various substances. The shrinkage of
epoxy resin is low when curing, and the internal stress that occurs is small,
which also helps to improve the adhesion strength.
"Epoxy resin is the general term for a
class of polymers containing more than two epoxy groups in the molecule. It is
a polycondensation product of epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A or polyol. Due to
the chemical activity of epoxy group, a variety of compounds containing active
hydrogen can be used to open the ring, cure and crosslink to form a network
structure, so it is a thermosetting resin. Bisphenol A epoxy resin not only has
a large output and a complete variety, but also new modified varieties are
still increasing, and the quality is constantly improving.
