FR4 fiberglass board has good processing performance, which is analyzed from multiple aspects as follows:
1. CNC Machining
FR4: It can be used for conventional machining operations such as cutting,
drilling, and milling. When cutting, using a suitable tool can obtain a
relatively smooth cutting surface; when drilling, the drill bit is not easy to
break, and can drill holes with high precision to meet the requirements of
different products for hole diameter and hole spacing; during the milling
process, various complex shapes and contours can be processed to ensure
dimensional accuracy, which is suitable for manufacturing electronic equipment
parts of different specifications.
2. Thermal processing: FR4 fiberglass board has a certain degree of high temperature resistance, and its dimensional stability is good during thermal processing. During the welding process, it will not deform rapidly due to high temperature, can withstand the heat during welding, ensure the welding quality, and is suitable for products that require welding processes such as circuit boards.
3. Chemical
processing: It has good tolerance to some chemical reagents, and can maintain
its own stable performance during chemical corrosion and other processing,
which is convenient for chemical etching and other processes to produce fine
circuit patterns, etc.
