Common problems and solutions in the processing of bakelite plate
2022-03-12

Because of its insulating layer, no electrostatic induction, wear resistance and heat resistance, bakelite has become an insulating layer power switch and adjustable resistance for electronic equipment, a mold for mechanical equipment and a fixture for production lines, and can be used in insulation. Electrical applications, etc.

Bakelite is a synthetically generated compound. Once heated and shaped, it will condense and cannot be shaped into other items. It is famous for its use in home appliances. This article mainly shares the problems and solutions encountered in the processing of bakelite boards.

01. The problem of breaking the edge

The broken edge is generally produced by the use of a flying knife, because the dart is at the edge of the product workpiece, and the edge is suspended in the air. , leave at least 20 mm for the lower knife position to fly.

02. Side hole processing problems

The priority is that the bottom hole should not be too small, because bakelite is brittle, and tapping too small will break the hole, and secondly, because the bakelite surface is rarely processed and the flatness is weak, generally it is not divided into holes. Punching holes in the middle will show 30~50 threads of errors and omissions, and the collision angle will be uneven when assembling.

03. Small round hole tapping

Sometimes M3M4 has many holes, and it takes time and effort to use the general tapping method. It can be changed to a hand-held pen-type high-speed automatic screw machine for tapping, and the results can be multiplied. The solution of the bakelite processing plant is to use a CNC lathe to turn a cylinder that can hold a tap, and fix the periphery with a screw to replace the collet for the screw.
